Our Programs are built on four (4) pillars:

  1. Research

  2. Advocacy

  3. Awareness

  4. Sensitization

WASH SURVEY:

The WASH survey primarily target schools and communities. A baseline study is an essential tool for both the planning phase and for monitoring activities at later stages of the project. The purpose of a baseline study is to build on current strengths and get information to make plans that will prevent or solve problems. In school programs, similar challenges appear again and again. Therefore a small, but worthwhile survey will usually give sufficient information for planning. In most cases a representative sample of schools in different parts of a county is sufficient.

WASH in School

WASH in School is a peer advocacy and mobilization campaign geared towards improved access to clean drinking water, basic sanitation facilities and hygiene education to schools in Liberia. Through this program LYWC work with schools and relevant stakeholders to establish club provide mentorship and training for the active participation of students in WASH related activities.

WASH SOCCER TOURNAMENT:

The program is aimed at social mobilization, awareness campaign, education, and community and youth mobilization towards achieving youth, water, and sanitation and hygiene targets of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030 and African Water Vision 2025 in the communities through youth participation for Developmental change.

GLOBAL HANDWASHING DAY

Celebrated annually on October 15, Global Handwashing Day was founded by the Global Public-Private Partnership for Handwashing and is an opportunity to design test, and replicate creative ways to encourage people to wash their hands with soap at critical times.

Goal 6: Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.  Water and sanitation issues underpin nearly every other development indicator encompassed in the current and future development frameworks and are a critical priority for all.

Launched 2012 on World Toilet Day, the 'Keep Your Promises' Campaign demands that everyone’s human right to water and sanitation is fully realized and that no one is left behind. We call for governments to keep the promises they have made and ensure water and sanitation for all!
